WASCO -Watercolor Artists of Sonoma County

Judy Cardinale

Judy Cardinale, has since childhood been enthusiastically exploring art. While raising a family most of her work was rendered in charcoal and pastels and included her greatest love – animals and wildlife. (Continued below.)

Judy Cardinale

Since moving to Lake County she began to explore oil painting and then added another joy to her painting genre – Seascapes. Many of her animal portraits and seascapes and landscapes grace the walls of homes in private collections throughout the United States. After many photographic expeditions to Yellowstone much of her new work depicts the countryside, terrain and uniqueness of America’s most outstanding national park.

After acquiring skills in the medium of oil, she went on to explore the medium of watercolor, of which she comments, "There is quite a difference between the various mediums. The approach to a successful watercolor is basically the same as any other medium, however, with each new study the medium itself always has a surprise in store for the artist."

Most of her work is inspired by the ever-changing landscape of farms, water, wildlife and beautiful sunsets.

Judy’s paintings are soft and serene portraying a special moment Our Maker has bestowed. Viewing her work one is often transported to that "special moment."
