Ginny
Lancaster has had many years of successful experience as a professional
Sonoma County artist and art instructor, and she continues to take
great pleasure in presenting creative art techniques to artist of
all levels of experience in her classes, workshops and private lessons.
Ginny works

Ginny has
been interested in Japanese arts since the age of 14 and has studied
almost continuously since that time. She was fortunate enough to
visit with Japanese artist and author Ukiah Uchiami. She studied
textile dyeing with friends at Mishinome and at the compound of
Living National treasure, Keisuke Serizawa. She also spent much
time studying at the Oji Paper Museum near Tokyo while visiting
in Japan 1976, 1980 and 1995.
Based upon
her excellence in the field, Ginny was awarded the California Community
College teaching credential authorizing her to give instruction
in the areas of "Fine and Applied Arts and Related Technologies".
She studied at the Los Angeles School of Design, and did her teacher
training through U.C. Berkeley and Sonoma State University.
She has taught
at Sonoma State University, Napa Valley College and Santa Rosa Junior
